Enjoyable and challenging, work place that allows me to enjoy and be who I am while I perform my duties.
Project Support Analyst (Former Employee), Boston, MA –
Pros: good benefits, healthy food served in cafeteria
Cons: poor benefits
A typical day at work is a day that I will be able to do my work accomplishing my tasks, at the same time I will be enjoying myself.
What I have learned on my job is that work is what you make of it, it you make it hard it is on you, if I accomplish and complete my daily responsibilities it allows for me to be certain that I am completing all of my – more...  work and meeting all of my responsibilities.

Managing a study as well as overseeing the collection of data. Work closely with peers and directors, to ensure that all aspects of the study are meeting the requirements of the grant and the protocols.

Co-workers are an essential part of the work day, it is important to be able to get along with everyone on the team or in the department in order to successfully do our job. A department is compose of everyone not just one person therefore it is very important to work together and get along with everyone.

The hardest part about the job is when we have to deal with peoples personalities, that is inevitable as we all have a different personality when there are more than just one person on a location, personalities become automatically part of that group, and the ability to work with the differences is difficult but not impossible.

The most enjoyable part of the job is when all get along and the projects come to fruition being able to see the final outcome is a rewarding feeling. – less

Research Associate (Current Employee), Boston, MA –
Innovative research and highly stimulating scientific culture. Proximity to other leading hospitals and Harvard Medical School provides for great collaborative opportunities. Collegial environment; very dedicated and well prepared co-workers.

Fun but challenging environment
Staff Nurse (Former Employee), Boston, MA –
Pros: fantastic staff.
Cons: invisible and non-supportive managment.
Shifts were ten hours, often with heavy volume and very little down time. Patients were wonderful, but staffing was not ideal. The computing system was in a major overhaul which worked or didn't work at times. Coworkers were fantastic and made the day and night fun. The hardest part was making everything "work" when the available tools kept disappearing – more...  or not work as required. Overall, it was valuable experience and an opportunity to meet wonderful people. – less

Productive and liberating atmosphere
Ops Manager, Patient and Billing Facilitator (Former Employee), Boston MA –
Pros: we gave people hope.
Cons: unfortunately, we lost some people by death or work reasons
Working at this institute was a great experience for me. I would honor the opportunity to work there again. The environment was professional and yet productive to me. The atmosphere that relayed from senior management was you can be successful at whatever job you do. The goal was we are here to serve hurting people and lets give them back some dignity – more...  in their deepest time of hurt. I loved it and I think, Dana Farber caused me to see more than I did before as a person and employee. – less
