America's Resource Manager, Remote - July 8, 2016
DataStax was an amazing place to work. I was there for 5 years and can say I enjoyed each day.
In the early years, I was the Exec Admin to the CEO, there was no "typical day" in those days. I was the Admin, Office Manager, IT, Accounting, Nurse, you name it. It was a lot of fun!!! As the company grew, so did each of those roles, and each one was assigned a headcount or two. I then decided to move into post sales, where I helped manage a team of global Technical Trainers and training events. That quickly grew into time managing the team of Solution Architects and building a process for onsite and remote engagements.
I learned a lot while at DataStax, to include but not limited to: Building a ticketing system from the floor up. Introducing and implementing a process for onsite and remote engagements and management skills
I was very happy with that management that I was a subordinate to. I felt that it was a fair and helpful management team.
The talent at DataStax is second to none, that is a bright group of people. I would be happy to work with each of them again.
The hardest part of the job would be that I was in a group of amazingly talented people. I am more of an administrative member of the group and at times, it was hard to keep up with them. I would say that those same people were the best and most enjoyable part of my journey with DataStax.
