good job but not great
Cashier/Sales Associate (Former Employee), Hanover, MD – May 22, 2013
Pros: fun
Cons: no breaks and you have to buy your own food
the day go by quickly when is busy but when its empty your 8 hour day feel like a 14 hour day the 2 or three managers are really good but the rest of them are slackers, no breaks and if you want to eat something you have to buy it

Fun work place
waitress (Current Employee), Arlington, TX – May 10, 2013
I have a blast working at Dave and Busters, my co workers definitely turned into my family fairly quickly. My managers are my mentors, I learn something new all the time.

Can meet great people and that's about it
Front Desk Clerk/Winner's Circle (Former Employee), Houston, TX – May 9, 2013
If you're all about just having a part-time, weekend job for some extra cash then by all means D&B is the place to be. There are opportunities to different things such as bartend, being a game technician, work in the prize area, serve/waitstaff, and etc. Be prepared to work long hours especially on the weekends. This can prove to be difficult if you – more... have an active social life outside of work and also have a family to take care of. There are opportunities for career advancement but only in the management positions for the most part. – less

You get what you give...
Hostess/Special Events Assistant (Current Employee), Orland Park, IL – May 8, 2013
With the holidays over, the weekdays tend to be slow, but the weekends are still busy. As a front desk/hostess the weekends are the hardest days of the week. You need to constantly be on your toes, ready for anything. You are constantly multitasking. You need to be able to see the status of current dining room tables while helping customers all the – more... while planning ahead for future tables waiting to be sat. Communication between management is a little tough at times, but if you work hard your effort does not go unnoticed. – less

Waitress (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – May 1, 2013
Pros: different than your typical resturant

Sit down resturant with servers. Good work experience except sometimes the customer type could be frustrating as sometimes they were really rude. Fun environment and a lot of teamwork between the employess.

The MOST Fun you will ever have
Waitress (Former Employee), Austin, TX – April 21, 2013
Loved, Loved, Loved this job, the best place I have worked EVER!!
Managers were always willing to help out whether I needed them to get me clean dishes, take an order from a table, or help me fix an error I made. Everyone, employees, were ready and willing to help out at all time, sometimes even if they were busy.

fun workplace but always working on weekends
Guest Services (Current Employee), Ontario, CA – April 17, 2013
Pros: half off employee meal, free usage of billiards and video games
Cons: short breaks, no holiday pay, we never close on holidays!
Usually 5:00 start time on weekends, greet guests enforce policies act as guest ambassador. Management sometimes lacks in communication with employees. Co workers are great team members. Hard part of job is sometimes dealing with intoxicated guests, closing duties and always working on weekends. Enjoyable part is talking to guests meeting new people – more... and working with great team members. – less

Best place to learn about business
Server (Former Employee), San Jose, CA – April 13, 2013
Over here you get to learn quite a love about the customers and the demands they have. It helps you understand the culture and how to up sale.

The management is always want you to get credit cards, but as long you don't quit you can always keep up with the demands.

There are varieties of clothing line, and the more you know the better you can help – more... your customers and the needs. – less

Fun workplace with a huge gameroom
Trainer, Cocktail, Bartender, Key Hourly Manager (Former Employee), San Antonio, TX – March 21, 2013
Pros: met nice people, got to play games, learned a lot, got to teach many new employees about what i know about the industry
Cons: not much room for advancement, high turn over rate, long hours
Opened restaurant, made floorchart, ensured guest satisfaction, trained new employees, created excellent working relationships with co-workers to meet expected goals, worked as necessary to cover shifts, often including over time, closed restaurant and walked off the area to ensure everything was cleaned and ready for the next day

Great Place to work with a lot of school schedule flexibility.
Waiter (Current Employee), San Diego, CA – March 11, 2013
The best part of working at this job was the experience working in a fast paced, corporate structured restaurant, that provided excellent compensation and benefits. Also, extremely flexible with my school schedule.

FUN
WINNER CIRCLE (Former Employee), Houston, TX – March 5, 2013
Pros: managers paid for some meals
EVERYDAY I HAD THE MOST FUN WORKING FOR DAVE AND BUSTERS. I LEARNED TO IGNORE MY CO-WORKERS WHO HAD ATTITUDES. I HAVE GAINED ALOT OF RESPECT FOR MY MANAGERS. AT FIRST THE HARDEST PART OF MY JOB WAS TO CLIMB UP A LATTER. I CREATED A BBOND WITH SOME OF MY CO-WORKERS. THE MOST OF FUN I HAD AT MY JOB WAS MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND PUTTING A SMILE ON THEIR FACE.

I Loved working at Dave and Busters. I learned a lot about People which in turn led me to learn a lot about my self. I loved my managers also my coworkers. The hardest part of my job was the schedule it interfered with my school hours causing my grades to suffer but other then that it was a dream job for a teen.
