A typical day for me includes; team work, finishing the product on time, cutting out waste, and having an enjoyable time at work. I learned how to work with others and learned how to operate many machines. Management was very fair and did a good job on making sure everyone was doing their assigned work. My co-workers were hard workers and helped out – more... others when needed. The hardest part of the Job was going home early when lines shut down because I like to complete my job task. I like production work place its fast and multi tasking. Good people in management and co-workers are nice and fun to be with. When we are down was the hardest day for us, idle but we enjoyed our job when we are busy.

i would do most the time 3 different things each day a new rotation after breaks. the people were nice sometimes favorism went on but that happens every where i loved being on an assembly line.. there waasnt really a hard job.

Dawn Food was and is the best place I have worked, and I am very sorry the plant closed.

management sucked coworker are back stabbers...but in all the company is great to work for

Very poor management at the York location. They wanted me to lie for them and I could not do so. There were very many other things that violated my conscience.

Working at Dawn in the warehouse you can expect to work hard. Shipping and receiving is 98% of the job. I learned how to operate power jacks, pf scanners, forklifts and selecting orders. The management for the most part communicated well with the workers. My Co Workers were pretty cool until everyone had to meet their quota for the week. The hardest – more... part of the job was the constant lifting of 80lb bags of flour and sugar by hand. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing how many pieces you shipped during the week. Mind you if you didnt ship enough pieces you would be fired. – less

I would have to be able to learn how fix problems on my onw and in a timely matter. use fork lifts to unload load semis. and put away the freight with over head reach trucks. my magement team was really great along with the co workers. There was no advancement.

For the most part people are nice here. There are a handful of people that are down right mean and nasty whenever they talk with you. The benefits and salary are very fair, but I would say that a chance at advancement is small. The company is small, and they don't really promote the idea of moving around to other roles.

Working for Dawn was OK, until they laidoff almost the entite plant.

If you dont mind getting sticky and working overtime then this may be a good place for you,

I loved this job. Very understanding employer. Great Co-Workers. Very family oriented company. Thanks to this company opening their arms and trust in me I have received on-the-job training and experience that I have today.

DAWN FOOD when i was a Tray Former Operator some times the trays would not come out right i would just keep trying and watch mechanic that's how you learn. Management was good to me the co-workers ware O Kay to the hardest thing i had to do was putting pans on and off the line i like it when the trays ran good that what you call a good day.

Company philosophy and posted values are admirable, but not practiced in the location I worked.
Corporate leadership is out of touch with daily issues that employees face.
Growing company with lots of potential.
They produce extemely good products.

We have a great team who is very proactive in helping each other.

I love being able to help customers through any situation, good or bad. I put my all into it and keep a positive attitude so that the customer feels confident that any issue will be resolved to the best of our efforts.

Management wasn't so great their, The supervisor did even know his job, So it was hard to have him understand what us workers were doing and why we were doing it. But over all the people I worked with are still good friends to this very day. The best thing about my day was cleaning up for day shift to come in because I liked the pop gun we got to use. – more... Have to meet the quantity and quality of cakes everyday on the assembly line. I learn how to decorate the cakes and any position I was willing to learn. they took the time to train me how to work and be safe around the machinery.

Analyzed A/R & A/P records for conversion to new accounting system.
