I sit at a desk and sign truck drivers in to enter the chemical plant

I really like working for Day & Zimmerman. The only reason that I gave them a low score in Compensation/Benefits , I worked full-time hours in a part-time position. And that also fits in with Job Security/Advancement. A day at work was to check the make sure all time sheets were in for all employee's at all the sites . Update employee's files. File – more...  the employee's files. Assist with the administative staff in other office duties. My co-workers were great in assisting me with any help that I needed. The hardest part about the job was that I was not able to stay longer. One of the sites operation closed. – less

Starting each morning with a new assignment, learning from my fellow crew members valuable aspects of the construction field such as welding and fitting. The foreman working alongside with us for tough projects requiring more man power. The most enjoyable part was learning the typical job responsibilities from each crew member and being taught by them.

A typical day at work is heavily administrative. My daily tasks include answering phones, emails, correspondence to the office as well as managing my superior's schedule, travel arrangements, and corporate expenses. I am also in charge of updating and maintaining the company's PAC (public action committee) and keeping track of money that is donated – more...  to political figures and organizations. I also conduct legislative research on pertinant issues affecting Day & Zimmermann, such as legislation on defense, construction, budget constraints, homeland security, energy, commerce and security.

I have become confident in my administrative and multi-tasking skills from this position, however I do not enjoy the company environment. We are a satellite office and very small and I would like social interaction on a professional and personal level. – less

I really enjoyed working with the employees and unions to ensure their benefits were setup and paid correctly each month.

Everyday was busy with supervising the benefit group and solving problems with payments.

Over all the company was a good company,but the job was not so good. The pay was also great but their were no benfits.

I was an over all nice place to work must be willing and able to work long periods of hrs.

At Day and Zimmerman Inc., Corp. I worked on the Xerox project for their chemical processing plant where ink and resin was produced in Oklahoma

Produced proposals from cost estimates of fire alarm materials and equipment of complete fire alarm system. Consulted with customers and contractors to meet their needs in their best interest and in a most – more...  efficient way.
