Daybreak Community Services, Inc. was founded in 1997 to provide a wide array of Home and Community -based (HCS Medicaid-funded waiver) services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Since that time Daybreak has experienced rapid growth. At the end of the first year of operation, 48 individuals received HCS services from Daybreak. Eight Daybreak group homes designed to serve 3 people each were opened that year in Fort Worth and Lubbock, Texas.
Daybreak currently operates over 40 group homes and also provides services in individual's own homes, foster care settings and day habilitation sites. Services provided to over 320 people throughout Texas are currently funded through the HCS, Texas Home Living, and Deaf/Blind Multi-disability Medicaid Waivers, and through private pay and third-party contract payers.
The management team has an average of over twenty years experience each and combined 175 years + experience in developing and managing programs for people with disabilities.
