General Service Technician, Moraine, OH - October 31, 2016
A typical day is pretty long, about 10 hours long (with only 30 mins for lunch) so it's pretty draining so if you have much of a life outside of your job life, like fitness, or another job then it may not be for you. If you're completely new to the industry, it's a great place to get your foot in the door so to speak and acquire some of the baseline skills needed to work on cars but unless you're one of the flat rate techs, you're not gonna do much more than tires and oil changes and pulling or putting tires away in the warehouse. Management is pretty fair I must say, they give you the days off you need usually, if you give them some kind of advance notice. Some of your coworkers have worked there a long long time, so seniority plays a big role in the day to day life there. The only way you'll get a raise is by threatening to leave.
