Great Company/ terrible pay and no Advancement opportunities
Logistics and Shipping Administrator (Current Employee), Houston, TXMarch 12, 2014
Pros: good healthcare, nice friendly bosses
Cons: no room to advance, low pay, no bonuses
The work day for this company is like any other. The management at the Houston Location is one of the best I've ever worked for; they truly care about you and your well being. The coworkers are mostly enjoyable, everyone is professional. The biggest down side to this company is not so much the pay as it is the lack of room to advance. there are current – more... employees that have been with the company for 17 plus years and they still work in the warehouse, granted there may be some unknown reasons for that (i.e language barriers) but it also happens in the office setting as well. there are some employees who have been in file clerking positions for five plus years even with the next position up being unfilled. As you continue to work there you see that there truly is no room for advancement, and any suggested talk of it tends to fade away after the extra work you did for "more experience" is completed. Those reasons are enough to make moving on the best option. – less

I enjoyed working here as a stepping stone to the learning process of becoming a designer. Here I worked with some great professionals in an office environment.

Pros: flexible work hours
Cons: compensation levels low. no benefits.
Disappointment. Lack of direction from management. Company leader cannot decide the company's focus.
