Has potential to be great...not there yet

Pros: Bonuses are generous
Cons: Militant culture, poor leadership, not a fun place, too many long term employees with old time thinking
Management is very poor. The current leader does not possess the right skills and experience to lead a software business. And the leader's direct reports are suspect as well. The business concept is great and despite the ineffective leadership, the business still manages to survive. It could be a lot better if the correct leadership was in place.

The culture is somewhere out of the 1920's production line mentality. All levels of employees are treated like assembly line employees and must just do as they are told. There is no real accountability for anyone or independent thinking allowed.

Corporate is very much different than this business unit and there lies the statement it has potential to be great. If the corporate culture/leadership could be implemented at this satellite office, things would be MUCH better.

Pros: nice lunch room and office in general
Cons: everything else is a con, no training and getting yelled at by management that was ABX old school
You are shown barely enough to know how to get to where you need to be on the software. You are then yelled at by your supervisor if you do not know how to do something or understand what you are to be doing. Very stressful environment to learn a new project. Now they are bringing in temps to do the job and they are lost as much as the ones that are permanent. Only thing is they make less money and have an attitude since they know they are only there for a short period of time. What don't make sense in this company is that they have some temps in the back that have been there for years. They get no where and don't get hired, but they keep advertising for title workers. There are not enough people in this county that know how to do title work. It is not easy to learn and you get no where asking questions here.

Decent pay, but no work/life balance. You get no real direction from management and the work staff is clique-like and if you don't fit into their clique (i.e. nationality, race, etc.) then you will have a very hard time there. Don't bother asking management for help with anything, they expect you just to know the ins and outs of the whole operation after your first week there. Sweat shop, avoid!

A very iSeries clumsy SVN product was implemented to manage change management. Development managers were quite good. Development director seemed very lost. Huge amount of red tape involved with programming, more so than any other place I have worked.

A major player in the automotive industry. They've evolved from a credit app portal to an end to end solution for automotive dealers. They continue to rake in revenue year after year. However, a lot of the growth has been related to acquisitions. The merging together of multiple companies on to 1 platform has been difficult.
There's a good work life balance. They do try to promote from within, but more times than none, there's often people brought in from the outside. The new office that's scheduled to open in 2016 will be a big boost to employee morale.

Originate, assign, and/or resolve support tickets in a timely manner as receive by our support via inbound phone calls at designated intervals.

Run production SQL scripts after hours when needed

Review sql transactions to ensure production has not been affected by AS400 maintenance and/or reboot.

Establish secure FTP credentials, file naming convention, file drop time, and any additional internal or external requirements for successful automated import processing.

Originate MAP files associated with client data files or recommend corrective action if a Our client standard MAP file cannot be originated.

Supply import requirements/documentation to internal and external requestors

Ensure escalations from Level 1 support contain a valid Change Control Request prior to estimate submission and/or submission to development

Determine scope review of client requests and determine positive or negative global impact when recommending development

Immediately notify IT of any unresolved production server down time

Originate file conversion programs when applicable.

Test client import process from start to finish prior to implementation

Originate, test, and run one off client bulk data change and/or release requests.

Ensure escalations from Level 1 support contain a valid Change Control Request prior to estimate submission and/or submission to development

Work with Developers to review code

Manage Import Server to check the status of jobs that run 24 hours a day, restart jobs that are hung and reboot server when needed.

Cross training on several different core platform to support all 3000 + clients

Pros: you spend a lot of time at home unless you work at the main office
Cons: you spend a lot of time at home. cabin fever!!
This company will hire you for one position, then readjust what the actual position is (example.. You hire in to go dealer to dealer, then they change the position to being 100% behind a computer locked in ur house) I guess that's okay if ur socially inept. For some it's been a good environment, for others, that's difficult. Constant readjustment of positions. One year you are one thing, the next something completely different.

A typical day at work begins by receiving titles from the vault then processing and preparing them for release. On average about 18,000 titles are processed and executed daily; with those numbers fluctuating by season. Overall I've learned to stick to the task, no matter how seemingly difficult, and ultimately your goal will be met. Management and co-workers are friendly and respectful. The most challenging part of the job is meeting the expected output quotas while simultaneously preventing errors. The most enjoyable part of the job is the fulfillment of knowing that my efforts will benefit the clients.
