Fun place to work, good working relationship with coworkers
Investigator (Former Employee) – Georgia – January 18, 2018
I'm very grateful and fortunate to have worked for an organization that allowed me to grow, by gaining knowledge and experience through networking with staff, coworkers, citizens, local and statewide law enforcement agencies.
Police Officer (Former Employee) – Tucker, GA – October 10, 2017
Great place to work. Coworkers are great and the job is exciting. The atmosphere has gotten better over the past couple of years due to loosening restrictions on dress code. They are also coming in line with pay and benefits.
Supply Specialist (Former Employee) – DeKalb County, GA – September 19, 2017
Unprofessional at times. For the supply position they do not train you properly. They do not provide you with all the appropriate tools to be successful. Supervisor talks to you in a very condescending manner. The pay is below average. Regardless as to how much logistics experience you have , they WILL give you the minimum pay (32,000 annual)
Senior Accountant (Former Employee) – Decatur, GA – May 15, 2017
Sneaky, non-productive, co-workers who do not think twice about stealing from you and stabbing you in the back. Treacherous, incompetent managers and supervisors. Not a good work environment for a decent person.
Firefighter/EMT (Former Employee) – Tucker, GA – February 20, 2017
You will run a lot of calls and get a lot of experience. Guys that have moved up remember where they came from and act accordingly. Good busy department. Pay isnt great but if you want to run calls this is the place to be
Master Police Officer (Current Employee) – DeKalb County, GA – November 12, 2016
One can gain a lot of experience in a short time at DeKalb County. Supervisors will always seek to cover themselves rather than take care of the troops. Never had a bad experience of this nature but all employees know the deal. You are on your own.
Summer Camp Counselor (Former Employee) – Scottdale, GA – October 25, 2015
I work at two camps this past summer. the first head summer camp counselor didn't seem like they knew what they needed to do? so on one of the sick days that I took, she informed me that "I didn't need to come back to the camp and that she relocated me to my new camp". At the second camp it was cool and calm. The head camp counselor over there was hostel. and if felt like by me being the newbie everyone was telling me to stand clear of the head counselor.
