Suites Checker (Current Employee), E Rutherford, NJApril 1, 2014
Pros: we get family meals and awards for our hard work
Cons: only seasonal we are not offered health care coverage no retirement.
I love my job because I get to meet all types of people from all over the world and not many people get to do that at work. I can have fun while providing the best customer service possible. Its up to me to impress our guests so that they will come back and visit our establishment. The majority of my co-workers are seasoned workers like myself and we – more... all use teamwork and the help of our management staff to get through hectic days at work. – less

Pastry Chef (Former Employee), Baltimore, MDMarch 21, 2014
A typical is normally very busy, especially if it was a game day. We would get to work between 6am - 7am. Had to write up a prep list and get our numbers from the chef for the day. During the day I would bake and get things ready for the evening. Sometimes things would pop up and would make things on the fly. The most enjoyable part of my job was making – more... desserts for special events. – less

Documentation Specialist (Former Employee), Buffalo, NYJanuary 6, 2014
Cons: this was a temporary position.
I enjoyed working at Delaware North, the work was challenging and that I was accomplishing and completing my duties.

It was a very productive environment. My co-workers were very helpful in assisting me to complete my project, and I learned a great deal regarding processing payroll and employee benefits, what is involved in the behind the scenes process. – more... Management was very helpful in directing me as to whom I should contact for any additional needs that I might need regarding policies, the construction of the new screens and how I could access them to test.

I was hoping that this would have turned into a permanent position. – less

Project Engineer II Overview
Project Engineer II (Current Employee), Buffalo, NYDecember 18, 2013
Pros: quarterly lunch
Cons: compensation, communications, project management, healthcare, 60+ hours a week
A typical day to day job function is supporting over 100 sites with our enterprise systems. I also managed multiple projects in parallel to meet deliverable for new site implementation, and new technology standards. As a company meet PCI requirements and standardization for sites and corporate offices. Develop new solutions for clients to emphasize – more... an agile infrastructure while cutting costs of business to save for clients. Worked day to day with VMware and best practices to build our corporate data center as well as remote data centers for multiple properties.

Developed a Enterprise architecture around Citrix, VMWare, EMC SAN, HP Data Protector, Cisco, and HP. We worked towards a hybrid cloud solution working closely with vendors and managing vendor projects for new site implementation.

Developed Citrix farm for corporate and field systems to meet application and VDI needs.

I have greatly expanded my knowledge in VMware, Citrix, and Documentation to provide an agile envronment.

The most difficult part of the day is the lack of leadership providing quality of life and balance between work. There is consistent reorganization of the IT department causing multiple staff changing. – less

Cons: no benefits till after 6 months
Mostly busy all day, I got to meet people from all over the world,
co-workers were okay some nice some not but its a job. management was lacking mostly just bossy, but they're were one or two who I really liked. Hardest part of the job was busing my own tables especially when it got crazy busy. Best part was walking away with at least $150 a day.

Super fun and fast-paced. Great as a second job.
Retail Associate/ Vendor (Current Employee), East Rutherford, NJDecember 2, 2013
Pros: only once a week, good pay, newly offered healthcare, fun
Cons: only once a week, super long work days occasionally (one time i worked for 19 hours)
The main and probably best difference between working here and working at a normal retail location is that the people you are dealing with are fans and not merely customers. They have come to your venue to have a great time. Therefore, there are a lot less headaches than there would be at your basic retail store. We are trained and constantly drilled – more... with GuestPath (certain customer service protocol), so all of my co-workers and I are always on our A-game. Since I was one of the first people hired for retail at this stadium, I have high seniority, meaning that I get called in to work outside of the football season for events like concerts, soccer games, and things like that. Usually for these smaller events, I get to work as a vendor and earn commission, which is often more than what I would make getting paid hourly. I get the best of both worlds because of my seniority, which I believe is very fair because it's like a perk for staying with the company for so long. They seems to hire new supervisors every season and I have noticed that they may not be trained as properly as they could be. On quite a few occasions, I have had to teach supervisors what they should already know, and I'm just an associate! This was perfect for me when I was in college because events are usually only once a week. – less
