Start by checking and calibrating different equipment on the line checking to make sure the line making sure it ready to go and then checking the modeling ling and making sure parts are up to spec

Working at Delphi taught me a lot about myself I walked in as a quality control specialist ended running my area on second shift. I would have loved keep this position fulltime but due to the fact it was a temporary position only last until second shift was terminated and on days the position was already filled I was only able complete my term.

Interesting work on new technology. Worked with many people of different backgrounds in design and research positions.

A very fast pace enviroment to keep production building a quality product to our customers.I had a lot of interaction with maintenance to keep the machinery up and running. There were a lot of issues with some of the suppliers and their product they furnished us. Management allowed the engineers a lot of freedom to make key decisions to support production – more... as problems arose. My co-workers were very helpfull and we were able to assist each other and learn news things at the same time.

The hardest part was the culture of the younger workers work ethics. They weren't dedicated and took little ownership in their job.

A typical day for me at Delphi, I knew what my job entailed. I talked to the employee that was on the shift before me to see if there were any changes I needed to know! And if there were any problems! I have learned to be patient before I react to a situation that may jeopardize our jobs. My supervisor was wonderful and willing to listen if there was – more... a situation I needed assistance. The hardest part of my job was, you have so many personalities, young, old, different race and religion-est back grounds.Everyone has an opinion on how you should do your job! But because I am a listener and a patient person, we all got along and did our jobs just fine with few confrontations. The most enjoyable about my job was the people and the will to learn! – less

I would arrive at work clock in for my 12hr shift, Go get my start up papers for the night if i was on the rotation for that, Id get all my gages in order and my cart for the night, i learned a lot about parts being gaged, My co-workers were awesome we all worked hard, The hardest part was trying to get all ur machines done by the first half of the – more... night, I enjoyed everthing about this job not one done fall except when they shut this plant down, – less

My typical night would clock in for my shift go to my machine hopefully it was running and if not i would have to start it up. If my co workerwasnt finished with order i would finish it, Management cant really say never seen them, My co workers were really nice and would help me if i needed them to as i would do the same for them. Very very busy environment but made the job fun and the people were great.

slow pay increases.
They will get rid of you without a second thought
Learn what you can as quickly as you can an then go to work somewhere else wher you will have better pay and more job security.

Co workers were great. I had the greatest supervisor ever. I gained a lot of experience in different areas.

use to work up to 12hrs. a day seven days a week. It was a city in a city. The pay was good after about ten years of seniority. Co-workers were usually nice. I did not like the odor from old coolant being used in the machinery.

The people where great the company sucked. Did to much here to list. I really miss the people there.

This was a good place to work but the job only laset a year before they closed and moved it to Mexico, in 2003.
