Calling potential clients is the most difficult part of the job, as it is difficult to get a person on the phone, but when you do, it is fun to build relationships with clients. Problem is, that is sometimes difficult to do. Coworkers are fantastic, but all about themselves for the most part.

As a warehouseman I moved 1000-1200 55 gallon drums of chemical product daily. While the work is not difficult and can be low-stress at times, the attitudes of supervisors and low-level managers make the work environment problematic. Some employees are allowed to clock in early and leave late while accruing overtime with no concern from lead men and supervisors. Other employees' time is managed to the minute, including lunch and bathroom breaks. Also, infractions such as damaging containers accidentally while moving or loading should result in the same discipline regardless of the employee involved, yet some are not required to take the mandatory drug test and 3 day "waiting period" without pay, while others are forced to submit. The wage compensation at Delta is not as good as other similar companies in the region. The most enjoyable part of the job is the cameraderie with co-workers during safety meetings whrere you are encouraged to share your ideas and opinions.

Typical work day, start at six a.m and get machine ready, bring in sample for what line we are running. Run the machine, and check seals on bottles. Check batch numbers, as well as wipe down fill heads or bottles. Check to make sure the heat seal is working.

If you are a follower and not a leader, this company is for you. Company has been realigning since it was bought by their parent company is 2006 with no real success. If you're not in the right circle, your chances of advances are slim.
