Account Manager, Chelsea, MA - October 18, 2016
Delta has been by far the worst experience with an employer that I have ever had, for more reasons than are easier to explain. I'll try my best to list the qualms I have with Delta, but please do yourself a favor and do not apply to this job. It is not worth it.
HOURLY WAGE -- With three years of experience I make a meager $15 an hour, to boot a key performer. This job is stressful, physically and emotionally challenging as well as performance based. To work 40 hours a week in that environment for that wage, it's just not worth it even when I am in commission. With that wage to afford your bills as a single person, you NEED a second job. But to get a second job would compromise your performance here, so it's just not feasible. Nobody who works full time should be paid an unlivable wage, especially for a job that is so demanding. Industry standard for key performing collectors is typically $17-$20. You will NEVER see that wage here.
ATTENDANCE- They are not flexible enough with attendance. You can rack up occurrence after occurrence, even though you hit your 40 hours, because you're late. Unfortunately, life happens. And commuting in a city like Boston.......... transportation will fail you more often than not. They refuse to be sympathetic to attendance and will make you miserable for it.
FAVORTISM & HARASSMENT- The upper management here, its just downright pathetic. There are some select cool managers but for the most part the management sucks. Favoritism with direct supervisors will destroy you work ethic and dismantle your team. Dare you challenge that, you're in big trouble. They pick their favorites and if you're not one of them you're left to the wolves. Aside from that, the other main issue is the 'high ups'. They have lost sight with what employees really need, and can no longer retain them. They are greedy, expect too much and give too little.
HR- HR doesn't care about you or what you need. Period.
