Job Title: Product Line Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
FLSA: Exempt

Delta Systems, Inc. a Streetsboro, OH designer and manufacture of switches, displays and electronic controls is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to be a part of the Sales & Marketing department.

Summary: The Product Marketing Manager develops and implements product line plans to meet revenue, profit, pricing and volume objectives. Product line planning includes definition of new product introductions, product line extensions and rationalization. The person in this role will work closely with engineering and marketing in shaping the feature set of Delta Systems products and defining the product roadmap.
The position is responsible for managing critical product line deliverables - including product planning, product definition, profit and loss, sales performance, forecasting, product margin, promotion and product life cycle management.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Business minor, or related MBA coursework a plus
Marketing Management Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
 Responsible for the initiation and completion of the Marketing Requirements Document (MRD) and initiation of the Product Requirements Document (PRD) to be completed with Engineering input for all internally driven new product developments
 Develops a strong understanding of the product commercialization process and establishes close working relationships with R&D, Engineering and Quality to implement new products as well as improve/maintain existing products in alignment with the overall business strategy.
 Gets up to speed quickly on each of the company’s product lines and understands each line intimately. Researches ways to increase market share and growth within each line and identify new market opportunities.
 Determines the total market (domestic and international) for the product line and for preparing product demand forecasts. Responsible for meeting market share and product line profitability commitments to the business.
 Develops product life cycle plans with clearly defined product introductions and rationalizations to ensure a competitive product portfolio.
 Competitive analysis and formulation of competitive counter strategies for all new products and existing products. Prepares a quarterly competitive review for each product along with an annual report that is used as a basis for the Strategic Plan.
 Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to advocate for a defined portfolio and communicate complex ideas effectively with customers, sales, marketing and engineering
 Self-motivated, collaborative team player, with high level of energy and the ability to work with limited supervision
 Ability to implement and effectively manage multiple projects during a given time frame.

Education and/or Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
 Business minor, or related MBA coursework a plus
 Minimum 5 years Product line marketing responsibility required
 Demonstrated success defining and launching new products
 Experience working within the Outdoor Power Equipment, Power Sports, Automotive industry, or related field required
 Must be able to travel 20% of the time
