Do you work at Delta? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I have a question for anyone who works in Delta as a reservations agent . . . they tell me it is impossible to get out of a shift during your first six months . . . what about a wedding, or sickness . . . how hard is it and how do you go about getting out of a shift during your first six months?

Hi everyone, I can't believe I found this site. Ok...so I applied to Delta on 11/21, and did my phone interview on 11/23. They asked me to complete the online app, and that someone will be in contact with me. Well...it's 12/9, and I'm still waiting for that call :-(....Did anyone else apply recently, completed the phone interview and waiting for the F2F call too? So nervous, and really want this job. I love Delta, and have been a home based travel agent now for 3 years and ready for a more steady job. Just moved to Atlanta a year ago, and this is actually my 2nd time getting to the phone interview part. Last time, I got the email that I wasn't chosen. So far, no email. No news is good news right??? :-/

This whole process moved rather fast and caught me off guard. 2 weeks ago I applied online but decided not to call because I wasn't sure it would work with my schedule. 3 days later they called me and I called back the next day and did a phone interview on the spot. Said I'd hear from a senior recuiter. 2 days later got an email saying call to schedule a F2F and it was for the next day. Got offered the job on the spot and did the paperwork/fingerprinting. This was on Tuesday. About how long will it take for my background check to complete and for me to start my training? Only reason I ask is in a week I'm going on a weeklong vacation to visit family and I don't want them to call and say training starts tomorrow while I'm 1000 miles away. It will be about 2.5 weeks from my conditional offer date to when I'm supposed to be back. I've read it takes people anywhere from 2 weeks to over a month to hear back. Also, how are they on scheduling? I graduate college in June and will go on another vacation then and I'm wondering how they are about giving a week off when I need it (or how easy it is to get someone to cover the shift). Thanks for the answers!

Hey,
Looking for some help. I wanted to know if the face to face interviews are in groups or individualized...for a baggage handler/ ramp operations job. I also wanted to know what the physical agility test consists of and how it is done? I know that you have to put some weights in a luggage and then put it on a cart, is this is? Thank you for all help in advance, I would really appreciate it.

Okay, so...
I applied to be a baggage handler at Los Angeles Airport for Delta Airlines. I filled out everything online then receieved a call from a recruiter who scheduled me for a phone interview with another recruiter the next day.
The next day, the recuiter did in fact call me and give me the phone interview. I think it went pretty well, overall. I wish I did a little better though. After the phone interview she put me on hold, then came back to the phone and said congrats I made it to the next step. She said she was scheduling all of my information to be reviewed and process by a senior in the human resources department, and hopefully then I get a 2nd phone interview.
What is the complete hiring process?

A few questions I would like to ask.
How do I get hired by them? I never seen any job postings of such positions.
Do I need any special college degree or MBA or airline studies, degrees to get in?
How are they job schedule like?
Do you need to have a hook to get into this department?
Do I need any experiences to get in?
Are there other documents team in other airlines as well?
Any replies or advices are greatly appreciated, thanks !
If you google "Delta Doc Team" you'll see what I'm talking about.
