Too much corporate involvement with under qualified managment
Certified assistant (Former Employee), Medina ohioNovember 14, 2013
This company hires people that have no dental background what so ever that are supposed to run an office. Patient care goes down and meeting goals becomes the priority. This thought process makes the employees frustrated and that interferes with the attitude of the entire practice and quality of care. Not to mention the doctors have to learn to work – more... at an extremely fast pace to keep up with flow. It's like an assembly line and they pop in to each room with barely enough time to establish any doctor patient relationship. Less time with patients you can fit more into your schedule which makes more $$$. As a certified asst. I went home exhausted because I had to work 12 he shifts that involved fast pace work and I never had enough time to catch up with cleaning or other chores. Then I had to stay an extra hour after the patients left to do what wasn't able to get done during the day. It's not fair to employees or the patients. They take all the personability out of job. Better off working for a private practice, that's what I did after 1 1-2 years. – less

Regional Development Leader/Trainer (Former Employee), Chicago, ILMarch 20, 2013
Pros: working with people, leadership and coaching
On any given day I would visit a practice to see how productive the practice was. Check on training and leadership opportunities. I attended leadership conferences and workshops. The most enjoyable aspect of the postion was the interaction with team members, learning from each other and making the practice successfull.

Office Leader (Current Employee), San Antonio, TXMarch 3, 2013
Pros: quarterly bonuses when successful goals are met.
Cons: 401k plan does not match contributions.
Excellent company who demonstrates professionalism. A usual day never runs smooth, however, as the leader of the office-I demonstrate no stress and utilize all my resources. I depend on my co-workers to prioritize their duties, as they depend on me to follow through with action plans. The most difficult area of my job is scheduling patients in the most – more... organized manner possible. The best part of my job is making our patients happy and provided the best service possible at all times. – less

Dental assembly line
Dental assistant / treatment coordinator (Former Employee), OhioFebruary 10, 2013
Pros: good training program
Cons: everything
I worked for the company when it was Sears Dental, as an assistant and treatment coordinator. All i have to say is stay away. This place only cares about the bottom line and meeting theirs goals. The managers encourage this because they get a bonus. Doctors & staff are like a revolving door because the work enviornment & pay are horrible. Long hours – more... with 15-20 min lunches (if at all) and no breaks. Manager would alter time clocks to prevent over time. ( illegal, by the way.) Work and scheduled overloaded, with walk in patients at any time. Doctors are paid by how much they produce in a day, so often treatment is exaggerated, or downright unethical. Then you have 3-4 people at a time, they do sub par treatment and move on to the next. There were a few docs there that did excellent work, but they dont stay because its an horrible place to work, and they are easily overwhelmed. Two words, stay away! Keep your sanity. – less

Front Desk Receptionist (Former Employee), Dallas, TXMay 20, 2012
Pros: rewards
Cons: attendence
The doctors were really nice to the staff and the patients. All of us worked as a team and enjoyed helping one another. Learned a lot while I worked there and was very disappointed when I had to leave the company for medical reasons at the time.

Management was run very well, was very involved with not only the staff but also with the patients problems – more... and concerns. Keep enjoyment of working there. – less
