The U.S. Department of Commerce ("Commerce" or "Commerce Department") today confirmed its August 2008 preliminary decision that Chinese producers are dumping their products in the United States. Commerce announced that provisional antidumping duties of up to 159 percent will be placed on imports of all small diameter graphite electrodes from China.
