Productivity
English Teacher (Former Employee), PR – May 16, 2013
Pros: free lunch, productivity
Cons: short break in the morning and afternoon
Being an English was my drem since I was a little girl. That's why I decided to be a teacher. My days as an elementary school teacher were the best in my life, because I enjoyed what I did for 30 years. Teaching was no easy, but it was wonderful. I learned how special children are and I could understand the importance of love, comprehension, creativity, – more... responsibility for realizing this type of job. I also learned that all children are the same and have to be treated equal, but that there are also children that need special attention. I also recognized that no all children learned at the same level. The hardest part of the job was no having the material and tools to put a practice my creativity and techniques to impact those different levels of learning, although did my best to do it. The most enjoyble part was to see my little children listening reading, writing and speaking English without any fear to do it. It was wonderful to see how much they loved my classes. Finally, if I would have the opportunity of born again an decide for a profession that would be TEACHING. – less

Working environment is high demand for profecional attitude and efficiency.
Internal Auditor I (Former Employee), San Juan, Puerto Rico – May 14, 2013
Pros: medical plan and profecional growth
Cons: salary increase is given by length of employment and not for excellence in performance.
The work environment requires the highest degree of responsibility, commitment and verticality of the company. The position requires constant institutional and personal preparation, continuing education and training of new trends in the different methodologies. Belonging to the Internal Audit Office requires employees with more knowledge in all areas, – more... with the ability to exceed the highest expectations and business needs. – less

Challenging and productive work environment with special needs students.
UFT Paraprofessional (Current Employee), New York, NY – May 8, 2013
Pros: free parking, friendly work environment (employees are addressed by first name)
Cons: lack of adminstrative support
A typical day at work is a learning environment that consists of small group settings that focus on English, Mathematics and Global History.

I am learning my students individual learning disabilities and applying the needed necessary steps to improve education.

Management are doing an excellent job of running an A+ school. However, I feel that administration – more... lacks interpersonal/people skills.

Co-workers are an excellent team of talented individuals striving towards the same goal of educating students. Friendly and team like environment.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with students who are disruptive and do not want to learn. Our school has a detention room for students who misbehave.

The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the results of students that put in the extra work to become better learners and advance to the next grade/graduate. Receiving praise and appreciation from your students is gratifying and fulfilling. – less

Energetic, fun, creative, motivating.
Teacher's Assistant (Former Employee), Trujillo Alto, PR – March 12, 2013
I've learn that every child learn's differently, they have their unique ways of understanding. That with a touch of love, respect and care you win a child's heart. That motivation and creativity is very important for a more loving and growing class. That working as a family is important because a school is a second home for every child and they should – more... feel comfortable in it, where they can express their feelings and trust. And being energetic and fun is a way to bring the class to life. – less
