Typical work day are on the phones from 8-5 helping providers figure out why their claims have processed or helping them with claims that have processed and paid. They also include helping member check their eligibility and also find out why their claims did not get paid or why their medication did not go through for the month.
The things I've learned are how to process claims, check eligibility, how to use our MMIS, MMCS, GHS, Coverage & Reimbursement look up tool systems. This are always changing and that's what I really enjoy is always learning new things everyday.
The hardest part about my job is having a friendly manner towards clients and providers when they are extremely rude, but you just have to take a deep breath and go on with the next call.
