The Department of Labor had many benefits both for the workers in Illinois Migrant Council as well as training paid by the DOL to workers who qualified. For example CDL for truck drivers was paid for by the Department of Labor. As Case managers , we had to recruit workers.. sometimes they were set in their ways and wanted to go back to Texas and collect unemployment.
