I have grown from all my store managers and taken what they showed me to become a better customer service attendant. As well as a more open and well rounded Co manager. Destination Maternity was a great experience. I recieved the pleasures of growing with my clientelle throughout their wonderful journey. My management skills have grown with this company. I have learned to carry myself with a sort of stature. Consolidations, shipment and floorsets were a part of my duty at DM. In the past, my other jobs had a staff of two or more during a shift; though at Destination Maternity shifts were covered by one person. – less

Changing from Destination Maternity to Edamame Spa was one of the best things but a hard transformation. It was little room for advancement and you had to jump through hoops to reach it. I enjoyed my job but the management was very stuffy and never willing to change.

job was good and the pay was also started out at 12.00 not bad. Managment was not friendly at all. And sales goal are hard to reach.

As manager of a free standing store, the focus is on making the store a pleasant place to shop. You build a relationship with your client because you work with them through their whole pregancy. You work along side a small staff that has the same goals as you. You are responsible for all visuals and marketing changes.

I felt that the management were on different pages and that made things pretty difficult for the employees. They are flexible with students and employees with other jobs. The most enjoyable and rewarding part of the job was working with the customers and connecting with them on a very emotional level.

Fun to work with the customers. Company is having growing pains. Needs to get more balance between customers and service. They think they can run their store with low payroll budgets.

we are located in a mall with light to medium traffic. I have learned more one on one clienteling with emphasis on appointments. Regional and District Mgr are always available with daily emails and focus on team motivation. There is no hard part of the job, only challenges that are met daily with goals. The most enjoyable part of the job are the relationships – more... that are formed in the 9 mths and more that the clients are shopping with me, then of course seeing the baby when they bring them in. – less

This job was a learning experience seeing it was a store targeted towards those expecting a child.

Each day consists of tasks to be completed per company policy and ensuring that associates do the same in their stores.

I your a mom or plan to be, then this is the job for you. I got pregnant after working here...lol. I learned so much here. I even shopped here as well. The crew was great, the hours were great and the pay also. I love helping people in general, but this was special. Looking at the women that come in or waddling in. We had a doll baby to help demonstrate – more... how certain products function. We offered juice and/ or water to our guest. Tested products for skin care. There was also a exercise studio inside our store to keep moms before and after pregnancy fit. The most enjoyable part of my job was being there emotional and physically for our mommas to be. – less

Help pregnant women still feel beautiful and secure by helping them find clothes that compliment them during pregnancy.

Compensation is not all that great, but the job itself is good especially if you like working in sales. There are not very many opportunities for advancement but I have to admit that I had alot of training which hepled me to find a better position with a higher pay. This is the perfect job for a student.
