Cons: missing a possible threat against the airport like 911
TSA is challenging, motivating, versatility and can be stressful all at the same time. As traveler come to the Check Points I try to remain professional at all times providing customer service is an important task because when you greet and inform people with a smile that lets them know you are there for their Safety, and Security so you want them to – more... listen to what you have to say in order for them to come into a safe zone one your task is complete of bag checking and screening you as well as the traveler are at ease and Management is Ok because you are being watched. productive and fun work environment which I enjoyed
Home Care Provider (Former Employee), Benton Harbor, MIMay 11, 2014
A typical day at work was great being a home help provider considering the fact I enjoy helping individuals outside of work as well. What I learned is to appreciate your elders as long as possible cause there not promised to be here and also you can learn alot from them by simply listening. The hardest part of my job was watching a person thats used – more... to doing everything for themselves having to adjust by letting you provide them with there everyday needs. The one thing I enjoyed more than anything was the time you get to spend with an individual that needs help by making there life a whole lot easier. – less

Very productive and fun working with kids
Childcare Provider (Current Employee), Detroit, MIMay 2, 2014
Being a child provider is very exciting. Learning the personalities of each child and their enjoyments. Typical day at work is waking up the kids, brushing their teeth, feeding them, bathing them, doing activities with them and nap time. There's no hard part of my job because kids are so full of energy and excitement. The most enjoyable part of my job – more... is teaching the kids new things. – less

Good place to work. Team environment.
Eligibility Specialist (Former Employee), Battle Creek, MIDecember 23, 2013
Pros: able to help people who were in situations where i had been, could empathize, felt i was making a difference
Cons: managers lack people skills, not working toward all team members success, some watched them floundering, documented the mistake, practice of firing good empathetic workers, keeping ones not able to relate to client's circumstance
I loved the position I held at DHS and honestly would still be there if they could have met my needs disability needs. The work environment was extremely loud and the language from some co-workers was less than professional at times. These unfortunate distractions slowed down my work pace & caused a considerable distraction. This in turn seriously effected – more... my documented disability causing me to continually fall short of my required weekly numbers & make too many errors.
I was concerned for my ability to effectively provide my clients the service they required & deserved. So at my 1 year probation period, I humbly gave up the career I grew to love so much it had become a part of me. – less

Great job, Great benefits, Mediocre pay....
Program Assistant (Former Employee), Atlanta, Ga.November 19, 2013
Pros: benefits, networking
Cons: compensation
My day consisted of handling the clerical needs of the Data Integrity Specialist Unit for DHS/ DFCS, scheduling state wide meetings, ordering supplies, and completing reports among other things. I learned a great deal about state policy, organization, and my ability to multi-task. My immediate management was excellent. Secondary management could have – more... been better but overall my experience was fine. The hardest part of the job was keeping up with everything that was thrown at me daily. The most enjoyable part was the people. I had great co-workers. – less
