Great Company
On-Premise Sales Specialist (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – September 8, 2012
Pros: company car
Cons: late nights
Diageo is a great company to work for. As a sales representative, sales calls start around 10am and go until 7pm. There is frequent evening/night work events. The hardest part about the job is creating value within the accounts while staying compliant with State laws and company policies. The most enjoyable aspect of the job is that it is very social – more... and Diageo provides great benefits. – less

Fun and productive workplace
Packaging Technology Innovation Co-op (Former Employee), Plainfield, IL – August 27, 2012
Pros: salary, benefits, open/fun workplace, busy, helpful colleagues
Cons: sometimes too busy, lack of formality in projects, hands-off management
Open, fun productive workplace that is also very fast-paced and productive.

Management gives employees freedom to lead projects with their own style.

Projects can be difficult to navigate with lack of formal direction.

Management tends to be hands-off.

People can be too busy to provide useful help.

Relaxed workplace
Project/Change Management Pool (Former Employee), Norwalk, CT – June 23, 2012
It was a pleasure working at Diageo when the employees had perks and good benefits. The workplace is very relaxed and fun at times. Diageo has good vacation package for employees and the capability to work from home.
The cons are that the company has changed a lot in the past 5 years. Employee incentives are not good. Travel is extremely limited. It – more... is very difficult to advance up the corporate ladder or around within the company. Management blocks you. Also management is difficult to deal with and HR does nothing to fix the problems. – less

Not a good place
Decision Support Manager (Current Employee), Miami, FL – June 16, 2012
Pros: free products, flex time, travel
Cons: bad management, high in discrimination
Better start practicing your brown nosing skills because that is all that matters at Diageo. If you brown nose the right people you will get promoted it is not about the work since only a small % are doing it while the rest spend their time with politics. Very high in favoritism for a "certain" kind of group. They promote drinking in the office and – more... employees drive home after drinking, very unethical and they don't practice what they preach. – less

A typical day at Diageo
Production Worker (Current Employee), Plainfield, IL – June 5, 2012
Pros: having evey other week end off.
Cons: working with some coworker you don't like
Typical day is going to work board and finding where you will be working. Two days are never the same. management is ok, some better then others. coworkers do help you when needed. Working twelve hours a day. going home after a long day and know you have two days off.

Great Company for the Most Part
Customer Service Coordinator (Former Employee), Napa, CA – March 28, 2012
Benifts and company culture are a plus. Sometimes the company seems to make desisions on company reorganization based on money but then ends up spending more to rehire when customer service fails.

You Better Know the Right People and Brown Nose
Rather Not Say (Former Employee), Norwalk, CT – January 18, 2012
Pros: environment, telecommuting option, get to take laptops home, best in product
Cons: it's not about what you know, it's about who you know/likes you
I worked there as a consultant for a half year assignment; was ONLY given 3 days notice my assignment was ending (VERY unprofessional). The experience was good and bad (at the end). I liked the working environment very much. However, I didn't like the amount of favoritism I saw. Everyone who is a non-employee there will literally throw the other non-employee – more... "under the bus" to get hired. What's even worse is what I saw in sheer favoritism from Hiring Managers to those who knew how to brown nose and suck up to them instead of hiring a GOOD employee who would be an asset to their department. I actually witnessed reverse discrimination/favoritism which is clearly against company policy and am deciding whether or not to "whistle blow" on it to H.R. – less

Not a good place to work at
Finance Analyst (Former Employee), Miami, FL – December 28, 2011
Pros: some free lunches and product incentives
Cons: unethical management practices, management and most staff are incompetent
Not a very healthy place to work at. Management is cut-throat and its a good old boys club mentality. Very corupt, alot of sleeping around between bosses and their direct reports. Constant restructures you never know when they will take you out. You have two people doing all the work while the rest do nothing and get promoted.

Only the best makes you better
Training/Event Coordinator (Former Employee), Toronto, ON – March 8, 2013
Pros: working with great people
Cons: trying to find time to relax
No day would be the same in this role, which was great, you never knew what was the next item you would need to manage.

Extensive travel, fast pace environment, working with great teams and managers, made this a fantastic role.

At times there was no life balance just work but the satisfaction of watching a great event that you had help to create was – more... worth the loss of personal time. – less

Pros: working with great colleagues
Cons: there are none
Each day provided a different task even though it may of included the same jobs, different guests have different personalities and its how you react to there needs and what you can provide for them. I personally gained confidence and also to be prepared by guests actions. My colleagues were outstanding and i couldn't of asked for a better bunch of guys. – more... good management and a very fair place too work
warehouse administrator (Former Employee), kilmarnock – November 22, 2012
Pros: free shares once a year, 250pound of free drink once a year.
i learned many highly responsible jobs while working at diageo, the team members all worked together too get the production out on time, the hardest part of the job was doing changeovers on the big machines as the changeover parts were quite heavy, a typical day at work was seeing everyones achievement at giving our best performance and high quality – more... of standard to the production we were producing and getting the orders out on time, the most enjoyable part of the job was seeing your hard work leading too many more orders for the company. – less

A very fun work place
Post room assistant (Former Employee), london – November 15, 2012
Pros: organised team managers
Cons: long hours
My typical day at work involved me getting and receiving letters which i then had to sort out and make sure they were distributed out to the right departments. I learned to be more organised, i got on well with my co-workers which is important in a work environment. There was not really a hard part to my day as i enjoyed learning new thing and being – more... able to be part of a team. – less
