Great Culture with Lack of Interesting Work
Senior Analyst, Strategy & Analysis (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAOctober 21, 2015
Digitas Health has a great culture with some of the most wonderful coworkers you could imagine. The work, on the other hand, is bland, rote, and repetitive unless you love working in pharma.

Semi-annual performance reviews lacked any tangible effects and did little to help myself and others grow.

If you want to get promoted be a slave, work nights and weekends, come in on your days off, and suck up to management.

Lots of great opportunities for growth and advancement. Lots of bureaucracy, red tape, and going back and forth to corporate in France.
Pros
Great people, free stuff, beer Fridays, fun culture, laid back, great benefits and time off, flexibility
Cons
Boring work, upper management out of touch with average employee

Good comp but not worth the headache
Account Executive (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 8, 2015
There's no work life balance, and the stress is tangible - if you watch people walking in and out of the office, everyone looks miserable. The culture does little to empower women and at times is reminiscent of Mad Men era relationships. Compensation is good, but the benefits package is lackluster at best.

smart, motivated people with a minimum of BS
Associate Director- Account Planning (Current Employee) –  Boston, MAMay 25, 2013
Digitas puts a premium on intelligence and hard work and cares less about formality or politics. Most people are smart, very capable, and motivated. While Digitas is serious about the work, people are not stiff and are a pretty interesting fun group. The nature of the work on the surface can be dry at times, but people take the intellectual challenge and the complexities and make it engaging. Figuring out how to optimize SEO performance on searches for insurance is hardly an area ripe with creative possibility, but analysts throw themselves into it and try to make campaigns work harder. That is the attitude around much of the work, which may be a bit stodgy given the clients and the nature of the assignments, but the agency successfully carves out areas of creativity and inspired execution. People work very hard at Digitas, but it's not a sweatshop--people have lives.
Pros
good benefits, no politics, company tries to retain good people even in the face of lost business
Cons
mediocre compensation, unadventurous clients, too much emphasis on analytics-not enough on creativity

Digitas was a great place to work of as it was a start-up office in Miami.
Director of Operations & Finance (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLMay 15, 2013
This was a start-up office in Miami of a Multi National Company. I continued to learn all the facets of opening a new office. Hiring staff and implementing new procedures as well as keeping up with the day to day operations. I enjoyed working with young and vibrant creatives. The most difficult part of the job was the excessive hours. However, the best part of the job was the brilliant people that worked there that made the hours fly by.
Pros
great compensation, bonuses & health package
Cons
office had to close

Fun Place to Start Career
Financial Analyst (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 8, 2014
Work at this company is enjoyable for a recent graduate because most of the employees are young and bright. You learn a lot and although the working environment is relaxed, employees are expected to give high effort and be productive. You will make friends at work because the culture is informal and people have fun while working as well as going out after work.
Pros
free food and no dress code
Cons
salary could be higher

Great agency & culture, smart people
Analyst, Strategy & Analysis (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILApril 6, 2013
Digitas started me off in advertising and will always be the best agency to work at in my opinion. People were smart, management was competent, reputation is growing. However, compensation was awful as was work-life balance.

Great place to work, smart people, humane culture, not the typical advertising sweatshop though you will work hard
SVP/Creative Director (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 21, 2012
The hardest part of the job is that the company is very lean so it always feels like you're a little short staffed. There are numerous opportunities, both vertical and horizontal, to advance or change jobs. The people are what really make it an excellent place to spend all the hours it takes to do what we do. Senior management is highly engaged and makes a herculean effort to reach out to all corners of the company. The only thing that is really missing (and this is not small) is a well defined vision of its mission. As a result I think people can feel as if the place is a bit rudder bit rudderless at times.
Pros
great culture, great people, nice atmosphere.
Cons
sometimes a little too nice -- that is, a little too much emphasis on consensus when a strong pov, however controversial, is more warranted

Constant flow of new hires and people leaving the company
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 17, 2015
I was working at Digitas part-time, and was hired with the management team aware that I was really looking for a full-time position. There were so many new hires each week and quite a few leaving the company as well, so when I wasn't granted a full-time position I left the company.

Always late getting home.
No personal life.

Enthusiastic, driven, passionate healthcare management/analytics professional
MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAJanuary 6, 2015
I am an enthusiastic, driven professional passionate about healthcare issues who approaches problems from an analytic vantage point who uses data to solve challenges in real-time. I enjoy collaborating with others, the challenges of learning something new, and open office environments that encourage a free flow of information. My best days are spent translating data into an actionable story, business, or policy recommendation.

Fast Paced Environment
Associate Media Planner (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAMay 8, 2014
Digitas Health was a very fast paced work environment, where there was never a dull moment. I was responsible for a lot of the financial documents on the account that I worked on. I attend many meetings with the internal team, vendors and clients in regards to advertising decisions ask was able to voice my opinion. My co-workers were great and very helpful were true team players. I did think that the management could have been better, especially in the form of training. This is something that the company as a while is working to improve. I think the hardest part of the job was prioritizing the multiple tasks that needed to be complete, but once that was determined the task or tasks ran smoothly. The most enjoyable part of the job was what I learned from my peers. My peers were very outgoing and brought so many different things to the table. I also enjoyed meeting with vendors and learning new and exciting things that they could offer to the account i represented.
Pros
healthcare, perks, friendly and fun work environment
Cons
poor training methods, management

Great Coworkers, but management thinks free drinks and food is the answer to problems, instead of jumping in to help
Vice President (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILMay 23, 2013
Work is intense, but fun. Coworkers are typically interesting people who get the job done with great attitudes. Management would be better served to support their people in the work, instead of throwing it at the and then blaming when something goes wrong. They manage more through freebies, ex a Client yells at you, you get baseball tickets; you work late, you get beer. It works for the younger staff, but the more seasoned staff would appreciate help with their teams, with client issues, than a free drink.

Top talent and top brands
Manager, Marketing (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAJune 16, 2014
It was a great place to work. Despite being an agency, work-life balance was strong. Talent was also top in the industry and only worked on large, well-known brands.
