Case Manager, San Francisco, CA - February 26, 2013
Case managers wear many hats and have a fast-paced, stressful job. The hospital is going through many changes which have streamlined processes and positioned the hospital for future growth. There is high variability in the census and management often understaffs and calls case managers off. There are some difficult staff members in this department and management does not effectively deal with problems behaviors. Due to size of hospital, there is limited opportunity for upward mobility. There are no merit based raises but only cost of living increase. Benefits are good.
