If opportunity knocks only once, Dillon Supply has the equipment to take advantage of it. A one-stop source, the company distributes all kinds of industrial, construction, and materials handling equipment. To do so, its work is divided between eight divisions: industrial and maintenance equipment, repair and overhaul machines; safety and janitorial supplies; storage and handling hardware; cutting tools, abrasives and lubricants; industrial coatings; pipe, valve, and fittings; steel products (beams, angles, flats, tubing); and forklift trucks. Customers include the Army Corps of Engineers, and industries large and small. Founded in 1914, Dillon Supply operates as a subsidiary of supply giant Descours Et Cabaud.
Dillon Supply is headquartered in North Carolina. The company owns and operates more than 30 stocking facilities dotting Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Through a network of affiliated distributors, Dillon Supply reaches building and manufacturing markets across the US, Canada, and Mexico. The company was taken over by Descour Et Cabaud in 1979; however, the grandson of Dillon Supply's founder, Eric Dillon, continues to hold sway as VP of operations. – less
