Payroll Coordinator/Human Resources (Former Employee) –  Albany, ORNovember 28, 2015
Corporate payroll staff was enjoyable to work with. Corporate fleet staff was well informed and did a good job guiding me when acquiring and maintaining our fleet. Supervising dispatch was a very enjoyable challenge due to the constant change and updates. Home Service Provider offices are unique in that the average employee is given a lot of opportunity to diversify.
Pros
Nice work environment, offices neat and clean.
Cons
Management turnover

Direct Sales Support (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXAugust 20, 2015
The people made this job worth while. Even though I was there for a short time I was already be prepped to get promoted to a better position. I called for more work but I was up to the task. As long as you apply yourself and steer clear of the drama you will excel.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Centennial, ColoradoJuly 29, 2015
On average a person would take 40 calls a day, troubleshooting any kind of technical issues, answering billing inquiries as well as offer promotional offers and upgrade offers to eligible customers. I learned what it was like to work for one of the largest telecommunications company there is, and how they've managed to keep the upper hand in the satellite TV services. Along with how the systems operate and how to resolve near any issue that would arise. Management is good, despite taking large amount of time to have weekly meetings leaving the floor teams without a team leader, they really do care about their employees, their concerns and any kind of issues treating everybody as if they were family. Co-workers are very very supportive of who you are, what you want to accomplish, and will help by any means necessary regardless of situation. The hardest part about the job was not being able to go above and beyond for customers in certain situation, you get left feeling like you could have done so much more if there was a little room to get the customer exactly what they want without a transfer. Best part was the satisfaction of one happy customer after another.
Pros
People, cafe, advancement opportunity
Cons
can get clique-y

too many jobs per day / low pay per job /
instller (Former Employee) –  Fenton, MOMarch 3, 2015
Start of day is making sure you have all the equipment necessary . Driving to jobsite do installation or repair , call in report completion of job . Repete this process 8 to 10 times .

Learned I was too old to be climbing on rooves to install satellite dish .

My immediate manger was pretty good . The company I worked for was a DTV subcontrctor not DTV . They hired alot of people trained them . put them in the field and hoped some of them stayed so there was alot of turnover .
Pros
free dtv
Cons
long driving distances

Office Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Jackson, MsFebruary 17, 2015
I enjoyed this job very much, although, I wish it would have offered more benefits and better pay. I started as a temp and was hired full-time. Later, I found out that I was accepted for nursing school and the hours were conflicting so I had to leave in order to obtain a career
in nursing. My duties were to schedule routes, contact customers, set up appointments, filing, email blasting, and other clerical duties.
Pros
co-workers were excellent and we worked as a team
Cons
low pay scale with little room for advancement

Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJanuary 21, 2015
Worked for a call center that contracted multiple companies, and the group I worked for was under DTV through the NFL Sunday Ticket Program. The Team leads were remorseful and knew their job and any pertaining information. The hardest part of the job was dealing with irritated customers, but trying to sort out their problems was fun, like achieving a goal.
Pros
workplace and coworkers.
Cons
contract work.

Assist Team Leaders (Former Employee) –  Missoula, MTJune 28, 2014
It's a phone job with "talk time" that is graded.

Have a thick skin and require very little maintenance and you'll be fine. You get paid decent for what you do and there is room for advancement. But you have to be in it for the long haul.

Some good managers but the level of disassociation between a floor rep and the managers is pretty grand. You never see your managers unless you're not performing.
Pros
good incentives, prizes, free satellite services
Cons
you do good consistently but then questioned if you are off one period
