If no one else wanted to do it - I got it - learned to order OW/OS permits, as well as DOT daily sheets, worked with some good people.

I really enjoyed this type of work also. I believe there was not a typical day due to the fact all calls for assistance could be different.

Wonerful boss, great teacher and leader. I would still be there if he had not closed his business.

I learned to multi-task and tighten up on my customer service skills

This company only hires for temporary work. Working here gave me the chance to stay up to date with my skills while looking for a more permanent position. The people were very concerned with the employees in that employment was the main goal. I kept my administrative and accounting skills up to date.

Great place with great people to work as a team. This team was like working with "busy bees". We would work real hard and fast if we were behind. We looked out for one another in the fast part of the day. We always tried to help the carriers of the newspapers when they arrived.

Upper Management was fair yet firm when needed, we were expected to get out jobs done in a timely and professional fashion. The girls I worked with all got along in a great fashion and worked together toward the final goal. My only complaint would be that the company was small and was not able to offer benefits to us employees. I worked in a fast pace environment in which customers needs changed suddenly. A fleet of 30+ trucks rolling at once. I learned how to take control and get a job done from miles away. Keeping everyone on schedule was the hardest part of dispatching. Constantly adjusting to customers needs and knowing the work load helps to keep you on the aware. Hiring & human resource.
Collections.
Dispatching open jobs.
Creating work orders
Marketing our services.
Liaison between clients and techs.
Updating all information in our daily database.

A typical day at work consists of organizing and keeping track of all drivers, making sure they pick up customers on time and making sure information is kept accurate in computer. What I have learned most at my workplace is patience. The hardest part of the job is trying to be patient with an unruly driver, but it pays off. Fast paced work place. always something to do to make it seem less like a job. Fun meeting the diffvariety of customers. Handled cash and balanced reggisters. open and closed the shop.

this Job is great if you are just looking to fill in some free time and earn a little money. I dont recommend getting a job here if you look for advancement or any kind of pay raise.

Typical day at work consist of greeting and welcoming cutsomers, answering phone calls/taking down messages, loging infomation on computer as well as invoices, filing paper work, collect/sort and send out-going mail, faxes, large or small cash or credit card transactions, and schedule upcoming appointments.

Most enjoyable part of the job, would say – more... gathering and preping everything for big dates such as upcoming maintenance safety inspection. Reason being is that it makes the work flow consistent. – less

I learned to know the route you will take before accelerating your car or truck. there was no room for advancement. the hardest part of the job was lifting 400+ pounds on some days and the easiest part of the job was driving and being able to communicate with people
