The best job I've ever had
Warehouse Packer (Former Employee) –  Lafayette, COApril 19, 2017
Door to Door Organics is an amazing job with tons of room for advancement if you put in effort. Management is great, hours are decent. The company has gone downhill since leaving their partnership with relay foods and ever since they had been cutting hours. The people that work there are very fun to be around and it's a fairly easy job.
Pros
Free organic produce, great pay, fun environment
Cons
Cutting hours, lots of repetitive motion, 2am to 12pm shifts

Sr. Produce Buyer (Former Employee) –  Louisville, COFebruary 17, 2017
Had a great time working here. Unfortunate that I was laid off along with about 100 other employees. The culture was exactly what I was looking for and wish them nothing but success.

Senior Merchandising Manager (Current Employee) –  San Francisco, CAJanuary 1, 2017
I've been working for Door to door Organics for the past two years and enjoyed the culture and positioning of the company. The focus on the customer is definitely present across the whole value chain, as we are trying to deliver the freshest and best quality produce to our customers. The environment is laid back, there is food around and the office in colorado in pet friendly.
The business model is complex and challenging and management hasn't been successful in giving a clear direction, strategy and structure to the company.

Great place to work. Everyone is friendly, management is involved and seems to care about employees. The company seems to really care about delivering healthy food to it's customers and employees. You do get a free box every other week.

The only hardest part of the job was forth-lifting. The co-workers was helpful and nice. The enjoyable part of the job was packing the food and shipping it.

Where to begin...
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) –  Lafayette, COAugust 18, 2016
Where to even start? Let's start with coworkers. A lot of them are fun, chill, relaxed and are all mostly on the same page with a lot of things. Then there are some who are favored. Show up late, leave early with nothing ever being done against them. Some other people try and leave early for doctors appointments, etc and are threatened to be written up. Favoritism is part of it. Let's talk management. For one, they don't do well with background checks or have a good sense of character. One of the "line captains" was arrested at work mid-shift. Good pick on management, not. The new "production manager" has let the warehouse get so dirty that it's impossible to keep up with the tasks to clean it. Full time employees are expected to much of one person. Same with part time employees. They started hiring part timers for "job A" but they get "job B". Not what they advertise. Their turnover rate is unreal! They probably go through 10 people a month and that's being nice to say. The job itself isn't hard at all, but with poor mangement, high turnover rates and don't even get me started on only one break per 8 hour shift. It is not even worth the job. I highly suggest looking else where. Save your time and yourself.
Pros
Free box of food
Cons
Pretty much everything

Horrible hours and ridiculously low pay
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Lafayette, COJuly 2, 2016
Change in management has been horrible. Dirty warehouse. They say they keep their pay rate competitive with walmart but do walmart employees have to work in a warehouse at 2 in the morning in 85 degree heat?

This company hemorrhages money on a daily basis through credits and throwing away produce. They say good food for good people but they dont even treat their employees properly.

The turnover rate is higher than a restaurant and people work for a day and quit. Stay away from this company. They will work you much harder than the $11.00 an hour they start you out at. How can anyone live in Colorado on those wages if they have bills to pay?
Pros
Paid lunch
Cons
Terrible hours, terrible management, no definite end time to the day, inconsistent policies and procedures, favoritism to certain employees

Sinking Ship
Accountant (Former Employee) –  Louisville, COMay 18, 2016
Company continues to burn cash and not generate a profit. Management turnover has been substantial in last 6 months. There is no formal mission, no strategic vision, no 5 year plan and thus no measurable goals. Projects started in order to address issues are usually never completed or tracked for progress and learning.

Great place to work with the opportunity to empower people to eat good food. Packing customers grocerys that were order on line from the website and having those orders delivered to their front door step. Great team of employees with good means behind them.

An ok place to work
Grocery Inventory Clerk (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILOctober 30, 2015
Management could do a better job with current restructuring.
Employees are very very low on the totem pole, while management makes poor decisions with no follow up.
Plates are full with new tasks on a weekly basis.
Great co-workers. Hard part of the job is getting acknowledged for efforts to go beyond basic job duties.

Great company to work for. Friendly enviroment
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  Solon, OHSeptember 28, 2015
I have been a driver for 4 months. The job is loading your sprinter van with customer orders, generally 40 - 50 stops per route. you are supplied with a GPS with the route already established in order of stops....very simple. The pay is more than adequate for the required work you do. Great Leadership and helpful coworkers.
Pros
pay, free food, bonus program, driving around all day
Cons
the slow season....hours are not as plentiful = smaller paycheck

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILOctober 12, 2014
On my own all the time on the road seeing nature! The position of Delivery Driver is a key role at Door To Door Organics. Delivery Drivers will be providing door to door delivery of organic produce and/or grocery items. The Delivery Driver may be driving and delivering for very long periods each day and must have the capacity to remain focused and safe on the road at all times, especially in inclement weather. Drivers operate as an integral part of the operations team, at times working hand in hand with our packers inside of our warehouse. Delivery Drivers will often interact with our customers and must be prepared to actively represent Door To Door, staying up to date on each week's menu and the overall company operations. Delivery Drivers are critical to Door To Door and must be highly reliable and focused on customer service, quality and safety.
