Intern: Division of Violence & Injury Prevention, Boston, MA - September 18, 2012
I interned at the Department of Health's Division of Violence and Injury Prevention in summer '10. My job consisted of managing call lines, organizing paperwork, web design, and implementing workshops. It was definitely a fun experience. I worked alongside various amazing people, some worked for the LGBT coalition or the WIC department. The hardest part of the job was leaving. It was a short internship yet but it was extremely memorable. Everyday was a new adventure and I learned so much. The best part was the spontaneity of it. Not knowing what the next day would hold. I enjoyed traveling to different events and helping host events and workshops. I enjoyed helping design pamphlets and flyers. It was a fun-filled journey and I enjoyed every step of the way.
