I adored my job as a Support Specialist for Sales/Implementation and order entry departments. However, the company shifted it's management officers and the person that was assigned to our department was toxic and had us all on the chopping block before she even arrived to her office. I am disappointed by the culture shift within the company from one that cared about it's employees as well as it's clients, to one that didn't care how the history, integrity, and customer service levels were lost.
The people I worked with in every department were competent and dedicated to their tasks and their clients. We all pitched in together and there was a real sense of team work not only within our department but others as well. Our department worked directly with the core business fields such as sales, accounting, tech support, logistics and product implementation services. We also covered the front desk when the receptionist was at lunch, so all calls were handled promptly. When the management focus shifted to stream lining and services provided were changed, the environment became horrible to work in, even after I had spent two years looking forward to going to work.
