The Software Sales Representative is responsible for the development of ongoing business relationships from the prospect stage through existing account management. The Software Sales Representative Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. He/She promotes, sells, secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. He/She will demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products/services. Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. Prepares clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, and technical service groups. Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities. Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services. Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment. Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. Participates in trade shows and conventions.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Proven negotiation skills experience, especially contract negotiations, with both clients and partners. Excellent presentation skills. Experience with communications and marketing via the Internet. Strong knowledge of web development technologies. Ability to develop strong relationships with clients by gaining trust and repeated successful delivery of expectations. Aptitude to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client. Thorough knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing, and media. Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve digital, interactive, and marketing problems.

Qualifications: * Must poses 1 year B2B or B2C experience in the software/electronics sector. Posses a high school degree, (some college or college degree preferred) and demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers. Must be results-driven and orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must poses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Valid driver’s license. Experience with various projects types, including web, mobile, video, and brand consulting.
