About Dunham's Sports
It's all about athletic leisure at Dunham's Athleisure. The company's Dunham's Sports stores sell sporting goods through more than 160 locations in a dozen states in the Midwest and Northeast as well as online. Its stores, which average 30,000 sq. ft., offer gear for team sports, individual endeavors, and outdoor pursuits, as well as apparel, fan merchandise, – more... electronics, and fitness machines (including ellipticals, pilates boards, rowers, steppers, treadmills). Dunham's also carries a full line of casual apparel, footwear, and eyewear for men, women, and children. The company began as Dunham's Bait and Tackle in 1937.
Despite the economic downturn that has hurt (and even led to the shutdown of) many US retailers, Dunham's Athleisure has continued to expand its store network. In late 2010 the company opened a location in Kalamazoo, Michigan, its second in the city. Dunham's said the new store was part of a push to boost the company's operations in its home state of Michigan. – less
