Durham Public Schools is pleased to have the opportunity to work with our partners, IBM and Duke University, to provide community access to information regarding student achievement. 'Wired for Learning' is an innovative collaboration in which middle-school teachers can post student assignments and class notes for parents to review and communicate with teachers on-line.
With the very latest in computer technology right at our back door, it is only fitting that we take advantage of the many resources available. Durham Public Schools, Duke and IBM are partnering with our local libraries and community centers to establish computer access for those who might not otherwise have it. In doing this, we ensure that many more parents can have the means to communicate with their children's teachers through the interactive Web sites that teachers have developed.
We believe that we have cultivated a successful and beneficial partnership that will serve as a paragon for providing parents and the broader community increasingly accessible avenues for communication in the age of information. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
