DWM is a 24/7 service provider. It is necessary for our Service Department to be on standby on all hours to service any emergencies that may occur for our clients after hours. This need is met by the on-call shifts you mentioned. These on-call shifts are never worked straight through one or more days as there is always a break from on-call when there is staff in the office from 8:30am 8:30pm. The amount of compensation for this shift is evaluated annually and adjusted to accommodate any changes within the company and any COL increase. While this type of shift is a necessity within our industry, we understand that this will not be a fit for everyone.
We are glad you appreciated the daily breakfast that is provided and the laid-back atmosphere that allowed for a relaxed dress code. We have a laid back, open-door policy throughout our company. This laid-back demeanor does spread to management professionals.
If you felt that you were getting compensated unfairly for the amount of work you produced, I would advise you to take these concerns to either your direct supervisor or HR personnel within the next company you are employed by. DWM participates in annual compensation analyses to ensure that our compensation is competitive with that of our competition within the labor market.
