Barely compensated for the amount of work done.
Bio Nuclear Transporter (Current Employee), Hauppauge, NYNovember 15, 2013
Unfair to workers. You're are not payed fairly because each driver is payed a different amount to provide the same service... Lots of broken promises and they constantly look for ways to take more from your check

Very unprofessional and unorganized.
DISPATCHER (Current Employee), Fremont, CANovember 12, 2013
I start at 3am. When I get to the office, I start on my morning reports. While I do my morning reports, which take me about an hour, the drivers begin to come in one by one as they arrive. By that time, it's about 4-4:15am. I log them in to their scanners under their own numbers and print out mock route sheets if needed. When the drivers get done with – more... gathering their papework and making sure they're logged in, they are to go and scan all packages assigned to their routes. Once they are done, they report to me for anything they need such as missing packages, final route sheets, laptops or any item marked over 250.00$ total. Once the drivers leave the warehouse, they're to call me as needed on the multi-lined dispatcher phone. I then handle any other reports that I will need for the next day or to help accomodate to company service and the afternoon shift's work. Management is rediculous. Our supervisors rely on dispatchers to do their jobs most of the times, which is completely backwards. The hardest part of the job is dealing with so many different attitudes during the day. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to help the drivers complete their deliveries and also on the days our company makes service, it creates a much better working environment. – less

Armored Transport Company
Independent Courier (Current Employee), 9160 S Mc Kemy Chandler AzSeptember 13, 2013
Pros: good pay
Cons: to much money to look at don't do it.
Very good job can be stressful at times but for the most part it was a very good enviroment to work in. I was with them about 5 years 1 1/2 in with the company I was promoted to ATM Manager and ran that division for about 3 years till the owner Corky Gowans decided it was time for retirement.

General Manager - Transportation Logistics (Former Employee), Lenexa, KSSeptember 8, 2013
Company allows for a significant amount of local decision making autonomy for management, I was promoted here and still consider my previous manager as a mentor. Overall a positive experience for me.

Dead end workplace with terrible management
Senior Accountant (Current Employee), Dallas, TXJuly 22, 2013
Pros: nice and friendly co-workers, supervisors and managers are good to work for (for the most part)
Cons: very low compensation for workload, meager raises (when there are any), no employee appreciation whatsoever, overtime is riduculous and expect to work on weekends and some holidays.
Unfortunately, the parent company in Canada cares nothing about the employees at Dynamex. Overtime can be quite tiresome - sometimes until 9 or 10 pm during the week; also expect some weekends, and a few holidays. Compensation for the workload is definitely not in line. Raises are ridiculously low.

Department managers and supervisors are pretty easy – more... to work for - not overbearing or micromanaging for the most part. Just don't expect to move up with your career at this place. – less

Loved the job itself but major disconnect between staff and management
NCC Dispatcher & Customer Specialist (Former Employee), Carrollton, TXApril 3, 2013
Pros: being a 24-hr operation it was convenient to select a shift that best suited each individual.
Cons: the disconnect between staff and management, compensation not commensurate to responsibilities, health converage impossible to afford if you're need is for a family plan.
The dispatching and customer relations in the department I worked in was fun, fast-paced and enjoyable. The disconnect between staff and management is an issue and affects the morale of the staff-teams negatively, compensation was no where near commensurate to the responsibility and work load so forget about enrolling in the family plan for health insurance – more... - half your check and still maybe a 30/70 plan at best. Keep looking! – less

management (Former Employee), Dallas, TXFebruary 6, 2013
This company has gone downhill since they were bought out. They don't care about their employees here at all. No core values, nobody on same page, no marketing, no good.

Contract driver (Current Employee), woburnDecember 19, 2012
Pros: work your own hours
Cons: no benefits, you pay for all expenses incurred to your vehicle, not being provided a company car
You are mostly on the road doing medical transport,
need a lot of gas money to make a decent income,
hardest part of job is when things are slow you almost have to borrow capital in order to get back into the groove of things.

Driver/ Warehouse Worker / Inventory Specialist (Current Employee), Las Vegas, NVSeptember 26, 2012
no time for a life all you do is work, work, work. Management likes to work you like a mule, but they pay well for time spent, no time in a half after 40 hours. coworkers where fun and out going. the hardest part of the job is tring to get everything done with no mistakes and not enough stock to cover all cases, most enjoable part of the job is the – more... pay check. I have learned the i want to be an inventory analyst. – less

Admin Assistant (Former Employee), kennesaw gaSeptember 3, 2012
Pros: we all worked as a team as well
Cons: to many supervisors and not all on the same page
answered phones placed orders in the system. I guess this was my stepping stone from a CSR to Accounting. The only thing that was really hard was when Dynamex bought us and we became a corporation you would have one supervisor wanting things done one way and another would want things another way.
