Great if you like lack of Management care.
AH-64D/E Mechanic II (Former Employee) – Temple, TX – October 27, 2015
I was able to take as much personal time as needed, within reason. They allowed me to be with my family, yet made you feel guilty when you chose not to work overtime.
There is no such thing as retiring from this company, nor truly having a retirement future. It is a government contract only job. If the government does not provide the work, you simply go home without pay, or ultimately get laid off. No skills from this job transfer to anything tangible outside the military.
Management is horrible. The few that do care about you, are not favored in upper managements eyes. As a GM1 (Lowest level employee) you have the following bosses that you may or will interact with from daily to weekly, and all at one site.. A GM2, a GM3, a Supervisor for the GM3, A supervisor for the GM3's supervisor, a Deputy Site Manager, a Site Manager. Yes... That is 6 bosses that you will have to interact with. Lets not forget the training coordinator, the Technical Inspectors, the Government Inspectors, the Safety Officer. Its rather ridiculous how many chiefs there are as compared to the indians.
Actual hourly compensation is nice, however, the rest of the benefits are a joke.
I will never work for this company again. I would rather work 2 jobs flipping burgers for McDonalds in the day, and Burger King at night.
Pay, Allowance for family time
Too many to truly list. Read the review.
