Position Description-Regional Sales Director- Midwest

Regional Sales Directors are responsible for driving sales through training, developing and increasing the overall growth of accounts within their territory and identifying and securing new business accounts that support meeting the company’s goals. Regional Sales Directors or RSD’s, are responsible for providing exceptional service to their accounts, creating strategic plans with all accounts to maximize their selling potential. RSD’s are responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with their accounts, while partnering with a Regional Account Manager or RAM to achieve the territories goals. The Midwest territory covers, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional support and service to accounts, creating strong business partnerships
  • Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting and relationship building
  • Uphold visual merchandising standards for all brands
  • Provide strategic direction to accounts, creating formalized plans to drive sales
  • Create annual sales and strategy plans for each account, outlining the steps necessary to meet sales goals, to include creating weekly and monthly sales goals
  • Assist in inventory management and control, making necessary recommendations to grow inventory levels and increase sales
  • Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting and relationship building
  • Continuously generate a sales pipeline for new and existing business
  • Practice a business consultative sales approach to create sales and long term strategies with spa customers
  • Commit and agree with spa owner, a consistent call cycle and service strategy to meet and exceed the business needs
  • Create and execute training plans within each account to include seasonal training and training for new staff and new accounts
  • Create and execute events and marketing strategies that drive sales, increase brand awareness and maximize sell through

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years outside sales experience within the cosmetic/beauty industry, with a preference in spa/salon/boutique environment
  • College degree preferred
  • Steady and proven track record of sales growth
  • Training background with a focus on skincare and makeup a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle that can be used for business purposes
  • Ideal candidate should live in, Minneapolis MN, North or South Dakota
  • Ability to travel 75%
