A Life Safety Consulting and Construction firm is currently seeking an Outside Sales Manager. Our organization has been located in the Heights area of Houston since 2006. We assist new and existing long-term care facilities (such as nursing, assisted living, and hospital buildings) meet the requirements of the State and Federal Life Safety Code. As such, our services are divided into two separate entities: the first, a Consulting firm that provides Life Safety Consulting, and the second, a Firestopping and Construction company that addresses the construction needs for our clients. This position will work between both companies.
The ideal individual will have exposure to the long-term care or healthcare field, and the architectural, construction, and/or engineering industry. The Sales Manager must be willing to learn and able to understand all aspects of the industries we serve, and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, as this is the foundation of our consulting and construction services.
A degree of travel locally and nationally will be expected. The individual will visit clients to promote sales of our company services (90%) and the individual will market our companies at trade shows, conferences, and area commerce meetings (10%); therefore transportation and a professional appearance is required for this position.
II. Key Responsibilities:
(a) Promote and market companies and develop new business opportunities to existing and potential clients (inside sales and outside sales), consisting of both in-person visits and phone contacts;
(b) Maintain contact information, calendar, schedule, and opportunity date in Outlook 2007 and Prophet software to gain greatest efficiencies for business and contact relations;
(c) Develop and lead marketing campaign to build more business;
(d) Develop, design, and distribute company media to promote services offered, and ensuring marketing content is relevant and accurately presented;
(e)Write fresh copy for company websites (2) on periodic basis and keep sites refreshed and active;
(f)Coordinate onsite visits with potential clients and current clients, an attempt to produce new opportunities for our companies;
(g)Assist with general administrative duties, responding to company e-mails, and complete special projects as needed.
III. Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree highly preferred in related field
Excellent organizational, writing, and verbal skills
Orientation to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated, self-directed, and requiring minimal supervision
Experience maintaining and editing content for company websites
Minimal 1-2 years of related experience or related college internship
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook 2007
Knowledge of Prophet or other CRM Software preferred
