Retail is a busy stressful environment, and though ESGI is slightly different, it's still hectic and sometimes difficult.
Typical days included customer service issues, checking on tasks being completed, processing donated goods myself, pricing donated goods, hiring and associated paperwork.
I learned many things there, I'd say I have excellent time management skills, can process paperwork quickly, know how to handle most customer service and staff situations. Most staff were wonderful to work with, and while I found the office staff sometimes annoying, some of them were wonderful as well.
Management really depended on who the manger was. I had some great ones and some terrible ones.
I loved sorting through donations, never knowing what we might get
Working long hours on my feet for not much money became very tiresome. Also retail has difficult schedule requirements. I worked many holidays that I would rather not have.
