Job Work/Life Balance
Direct Support Professional (Current Employee) – Eatontown, NJ – August 12, 2014
A typical workday is to assist the individual with growing which developmentally is slow not by choice. what I have learned is patience and direct care and supervision. the hardest part of my job is developing social skills. the most enjoyable part of my job is basically hanging out with this individual.
Front Desk Receptionist/Office Help (Volunteer) (Former Employee) – Silver Spring, MD – September 30, 2013
I really enjoyed volunteering at Easter Seals and the clients are dearly missed. I have a passion for working with and assisting the elderly and children. While at Easter Seals I had the opportunity to assist with the Adult Daycare Program and that was by far one of the greatest working experiences that I've had. Easter Seals provides a great program to their clients.
Huge Atmosphere with a outside area, nursing office and stage.
Sports Coordinator (Former Employee) – Philadelphia, PA – March 27, 2013
A typical day was a early morning sing along to wake up the children, proceeded by breakfast. Sports started after breakfast then other activis such as music, dance, and art. Lunch and then a group activity. Then the children were sent home.
-I learned how to be patient with children with disabilities.
-Hardest part was interacting with some disabilities I never encountered before.
- The most enjoyable part was making a child smile.
