Cosultant for Cerner Corporation (Current Employee), Kansas City, MOApril 16, 2014
Pros: i get to meet new people all over the nation.
Cons: i don't get to see home very much.
My duty as a consultant is to travel to the Cerner client’s site and serve as Elbow Support for the client when the client is ready to go live with the software. Elbow Support is basically teaching and training the Doctors, Nurses, MA’s, Nurse Practitioners and all ancillary staff in the Ambulatory Clinics and/or Hospitals, how to use the Health Care Program they’ve purchased from Cerner Corporation. The hardest part of the job is trying to teach someone who is against learning the new program. But the most enjoyable part of the job is watching them learn it and feel comfortable using the program.
