ECI was founded in 1985 in Glenwood, Iowa as a financial consulting company, assisting both lenders and farmers preparing then FmHA guaranteed loan applications. ECI developed the Farm Equity Manager as a consulting tool in 1986 and began marketing it directly to the lenders and farmers in 1991.
