Most of the employees do not want to be held accountable for their deficiencies in regards to work. As a result, it makes it harder for the people that value their work. Management in all aspects is great but has a lot to overcome with the staff that is under them. The company has high turnover and that is due to the fact that the people hired don't – more... want to put the effort to perform their job responsibilities. I work 10 hrs days , which is great for me , I have a 81 yr old mother i take care of .. having a day off during the week allows me to keep up with dr appts and the nurses and aids that come take care of her for me . The hardest part of my job I feel is living up to the corporate expectations of their number scale and still feel not rushed in taking – more... care of my customers . Enjoyed positive working relationships with coworkers and supervisor. Flexible work schedule, but extended hours with lots of driving.

I was employed with Eckerds for several years and help several positions. I was mostly satisfied with this company until becoming injured while at work then the experiance became a nightmare.

Constantly learning new ways to get sales. As part of management I was eager to learn and to advance to store manager. I learned that I knew how to perform job tasks that I was not always comfortable with such as setting plan-o-grams and entering data into the computer system for inventory purposes. The most enjoyable part was talking with customers and helping them with merchandise. Also, learning how to be an effective leader to get desired results. – less

Planograms, recalls, dammages, cashier, customer service, price changes, and photo.

All operations were done by the manager which would include payroll,scheduling, training, merchandising, shrink control, ordering, and inventory control.
After being promoted to ASDM I found that the operations of 9 stores was more difficult and required a strict schedule to keep the operations of all on track while still maintaining my home store. – more... this was by far the best job ever and most rewarding i learned so much here about different aspects of store and then into management , and the way i look at leadership.

Advancement opportunities were great. I started as a cashier and with in a year was promoted to a key holder. Soon after, this location built a brand new store and it included an Express Photo Lab which I was given. I enjoyed being a salary member of management. I learned more about store operations and dealt with them professionally. The only down – more... side was the store manager. He figured out that they were going to bust him for faking inventory and caused several of his employees to get fired or quit because they questioned things. He also became unbearable to work with. The sense of job security failed when he would make up stories about employees and the district manager would believe him and employees would quit or get fired. Only for the manager himself get fired soon after. – less

All expenses were paid, as my girlfriend and I traveled around remodeling stores' interior. Bosses, and coworkers were a lot of fun, and taught me a lot. The schedule was amazing. When the department was terminated, CVS warned us, paid us severance, and most of us got retainer fees for completing our jobs.

I enjoyed working at Eckerd. I learned so much with this company from day one, from learning how to run the photo lab up to learning how to run a store by myself. I enjoyed being around all of my co-workers, we always made it fun to were we enjoyed coming into work everyday. I had the opportunity to work with customers and get to know people from the community. I learned how to manage several tasks. My job was to manage cash, inventory, and customer service.

Excellent place to make a career provided there are no clashes of personalities with management or pharmacy or both.

I had a great experience with this company. As a member of management, I was able to hire and train great people and work for even better people. The required 50hour+ work week made having a work/life (school) balance difficult. And there was no overtime compensation - something I disagreed with. cool place to work meant alot of cool people had lots of fun hated the mangement

Fun place too work with good people. Great experience with meeting new people everyday also never a boring moment.
