Love the residents. Great pay. Awful management
Care Partner (Current Employee) – Memphis, TN – May 9, 2017
I love coming to work everyday. I love my patients and getting rewarded with top competitive pay with shift differential. The benefits could be better as far as the family rate. No one can afford $700/month on CNA salary.
As far as the management goes... I was hired based on a full time status with rotating weekends. Our RSC was relieved of duty. When we got a new one, based on seniority and not FT versus PT and census being low, hours were cut. Staff were moved from one shift to another without their knowledge or consent. No one had a rotating weekend schedule. As a matter of a fact, staff has been told there will be no more rotating weekends for another few months, even though census is rising. PTO is being denied. Other staff along with myself don't understand why one months schedule couldn't be copied over to the next month keeping the rotation. We were all hired on the basis of full time hours AND rotating weekends. Some staff have been required, involuntarily, to work every single weekend for months straight.
The new RSC Is rude and inconsiderate of the fact that staff rely on their rotating schedules. Especially those who are single parents, like myself. Staff have also been told by the DON that " You should be thankful you even have a job and hours. Some people aren't as lucky". I just find that if these two things were eliminated, work would be more enjoyable.
