ED&F Man is a vertically integrated service provider, encompassing the physical handling of commodities with the management of inherent risks and their environment.
Our business can be broken into three types of products: Foodstuffs, Feeds and Bio-energy. Around this we have built a vast number of services. Our primary line of business is Foodstuffs. – more... In Sugar and Coffee we hold leading positions in the world market. In Cocoa we are among the leaders in cocoa beans. In edible oils, we have significant involvement in Palm Oil and Coconut Oil. In Feeds, we are leaders in Molasses (a by-product from the manufacture of sugar - used in the animal feed and fermentation industries). We trade as Westway and SvG. Westway Feed has 35 feed sites in the USA and Canada, and produces custom-formulated products for beef, dairy cattle and horses. We also trade fish oil. Our third business is Bio-energy. We have been involved in Ethanol processing and trading for over 10 years. Palm oil is a key blender in bio-diesel - a growing alternative source of fuel. Our bulk liquid storage business, Westway Terminals, operates 15 sites in the USA and Canada and 11 sites in Europe.

Our FSA and CFTC regulated business, ED&F Man Commodity Advisers, provides our clients with access to futures and options markets, within our Commodity Services business, which offers top quality research and risk management solutions to help our clients manage price risk and plan ahead.
We actively support sustainable production of agricultural produce in the developing world where we source the vast majority of our commodities.
Our reach is truly global. We are present in 74 countries with our own people and in over 100 countries if we count our agency agreements. Our multinational client list includes all the well-known corporations of the food world and the agricultural world.
