Edenred USA is the amalgam of two different employee benefits companies. One is providing pre-tax parking and public transit benefit, and the other providing cash benefits for eating well, exercising and other behaviors that promote employee wellness and reduce employee health care costs. The two companies can not be more culturally different and anyone that has to deal with both companies, experience the dissonance between the two organizations as you try to deal with the two different cultures. The employee wellness company has a strong international flavor with a high level of diversity in language, ethnicity, and political correctness. The public transit / parking benefit company is a much more traditional company. There is friction between the two companies as many members of senior leadership split time between the two organizations and are not able to devote their complete attention to either organization.
