Privately owned tech company with a lot of freedom to set your schedule the way you like it.
Sr. Digital Content Administrator (Former Employee), Santa Monica, CAFebruary 19, 2015
Pros: free food, fruits, snacks, good work/life balance, nice bonuses.
Cons: lack of effective communication, cronyism
The best perk about this company, depending on which position you are in, is ROWE. That stands for Results Only Work Environment. Basically, you're allowed to work from wherever you feel the most productive or comfortable. There is no micro-management at least with my team, and everyone gets along well for the most part.
If you do find yourself in the office however, there are many little perks they have, such as fruit infused water, fruits every morning, ping pong table, and a small video game arcade.
Now on to the not so pretty. Although I haven't had a bad experience with any one of my managers, there are the usual office politics going on with those who fall into favor with the managers being promoted up the ladder. Those who don't are either let go or kept in their current positions for a longer time without any possibility for promotion.
There is also a problem with communication. Not all the teams are aware of what the other team contributes and therefore doesn't realize the value they bring to the company. This also causes problems with any of the teams need more support. The same questions arise over and over and this creates unnecessary delays. This is especially apparent at the executive level where they might hand down initiatives that they think make sense, but really ends up benefiting only a handful of people, not the whole company.

Great company to work for!
IT infrastructure Intern (Current Employee), Santa Monica, CAOctober 21, 2014
Pros: free lunch some time, free time off, great culture
This company has ranked by the LA business journal for one of the best company to work for 4 years in a roll now, and they certainly do live up to their expectations. Even as an intern I get paid for what I do and qualify for many perks that a full time employee has. Work/life balance is great and the culture is very progressive, if you are a west side hipster who is very innovative and techie then this place is for you!

Rowe (Results Only Work Environment) Very Progressive
DEALER SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Current Employee), Santa Monica, CANovember 25, 2013
Pros: great physical work environment, amenities, co workers, feeling valued
Cons: inconsistent execution of rowe
The organization truly sets out for satisfaction not only from its customers but also its employees; and it is evident in all the perks the company provides, from daily fresh fruit and Friday Bagels, to upgraded powder room amenities and freshly popped pop corn. And it is truly progressive in implementing a Results Only Work Environment work place, with the goal being higher productivity and greater overall sense of autonomy and pride in the work produced; however, it still has pockets of teams whose management has not fully embraced this and may lead to some feeling less than autonomous, empowered and effective.

The physical workplace and the culture of innovation, urgency, integrity and transparency are all a refreshing spin on how an adult workplace should be.

Horrible
Account Coordinator (Former Employee), Southfield, MIMarch 21, 2013
Cons: horrible place
Horrible working conditions, the worst management and owners ever. They don't treat you like a working force inside the company. They don't care about their employees.

Two Thumbs Up!
Data (Current Employee), Santa MonicaSeptember 18, 2012
Pros: fantastic benefits and a great office environment
Cons: some areas have weak management/leadership
Overall, this is a terrific place to work. The office space is really cool, but it's the people that make it. No brilliant jerks allowed. Extremely casual environment (flip flops every day!) and the benefits are fantastic. Recently instituted a 'Results Only Work Environment' philosophy which means you can work where you want, when you want, as long as the work gets done. Also did away with vacation/sick/personal days - you get to take the time you need; as long as you're achieving your results, its all good. Has a progressive thinking senior leadership team with big plans to grow the organization long into the future.
