Education Management LLC is a provider of postsecondary education in North America, with approximately 96,000 active students as of October 2007. The Company offers education through four different education systems (The Art Institutes, Argosy University, the Brown Mackie Colleges and South University), and through online platforms at three of the four – more... education systems. The schools provide students a variety of programmatic and degree choices in a flexible learning environment. The curriculum is designed with an emphasis on applied career-oriented content and is primarily taught by faculty members that possess practical and relevant professional experience in their respective fields. In April 2008, the Company entered into an agreement with SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae) to provide loans to students, who previously received loans from Sallie Mae.
